The manga was very poorly received on 2ch; speculation is running wild there that he committed suicide after receiving a flood of abusive letters and postcards. Pure speculation, though; the only facts are the poor reception, the manga suddenly being placed on hiatus, and the author's death. |

After reading several posts in Japan on various websites, it looks like this may be true. They are ruthless on 2ch when it comes to comments - he may not have been able to handle it. |
