If Bandai has it, now it has a better chance of being on Adult Swim! I wonder if they're going to keep the dub from ADV.

Holy crap! This is huge news! Shocked

I wonder how ADV could have screwed up this license agreement? Confused

In any case, it's good to know this. I've heard a lot of good stuff about this show, and I can't wait to see it.

I know. I was thinking the same thing. I usually enjoy ADV's dubs more than Bandai's.

Did they already start the dub before ADV lost the license? Anyways I'm glad somebody is bringing this show to R1 DVDs. Knowing Bandai we might also see a bluray release. Very Happy

More importantly, has anyone heard ANYTHING from ADV in the last few weeks? Like new release schedules? Haven't seen any life on their website or their newsletter.

This does not bode well.

Yes they did and I'm assuming they will keep it.

Well that's interesting. It's a shame ADV lost it and that dub fans will have to wait until next year to get their version, but it looks like GL will be getting two disc bundles like Code Geass and Ayakashi, so I'm happy.

Wow, I notice DENTSU is Geneon (USA) once before? I wonder what happen to ADV? I predict ADV is going out of business or ADV is merged with FUNimation. Rolling Eyes Question

Wow, wonder what the story behind THIS one is.

Why would ADV boot Gurren Lagann? It's only like one of the most anticipated series out there... IS ADV REALLY ABOUT TO DIE? </sky>

It could get a dub from the Ocean Group. But man, I was actually looking forward in hearing ADV's dub and now it's scraped.

you're thinking of Bandai Visual instead of Bandai Entertainment...

COMPLETELY 2 different companies...

and as with most people, i was looking forward to ADV's dubbing but if Bandai Ent does another great job like Haruhi and Lucky Star, i'll DEFINTELY looking forward to English track....
