| Oh man, at first I thought this was a joke, like the live action that changed the "No" to "Ga", but from the trailer it looks interesting. I wonder if they're combining arcs or just pulling events from Onikakushi-hen... | ||||

| "Higurashi ga Naku Koro ni" was a porn film, though they released an all-ages version too! Apparently they thought it was amusing enough that people might want to watch it for something besides the porn.
The first live action movie was announced a while ago, and will be an adaptation of Onikakushi only. I'm excited to hear that they think it'll be successful enough to warrant a sequel! Here's hoping it turns out well, because I'd love to introduce Higurashi to my non-anime loving friends. With Ryukishi07 working on it, the movie will at least get the story right. |

| I'm not sure what the sequel will consist of. I'd almost bet on them taking out Watanagashi and Meakashi completely and eliminating Shion from the equation, since twins are difficult to film with one actress.

They managed with both Parent Traps... although why they just can't find actual twin acresses is beyond me - they must exist. |

It's probably a picture of Shirakawago which was used as the basis for Hinamizawa in the story. http://en.wikipedia.org/ Someone went and shot pictures comparing the places in Shirakawa with scenes from the anime http://kendra.wordpress.com/ |

Thanks, but I meant the actual image that is used in the article. I would love to get a high-res version of that. I can barely make out "higurashi-movie.com" at the bottom, but I can't find it on the official site. 
[Edit] The first red button on the site (the one with "07" in the text) apparently leads to some news page. Scrolling down, I noticed a post with the image and what Babelfish translated as "The + wallpaper was added! The special wallpaper was added! Clicking the car of poult Misawa village!". I'm still unable to locate any wallpaper section on the site, though. Damn moonspeak!  |
