Speaking of Oga Kazuo and Tonari no Totoro, it seems that abunai referred to a place in the anime as 'Shichikuniyama' in another thread.
Well, I beg your pardon, but were you referring to the place where the hospital was in Tonari no Totoro, abunai? If so, actually that place name is Shichikokuyama. Probably it is modelled after real-life Hachikokuyama. In Hachikokuyama there was Hoseien, which is now Shinyamanote Hospital. Hoseien was spoiler[a sanatorium for tuberculosis]. Therefore the mother of Satsuki and Mei may be spoiler[a tubercular patient]. In the novel version of Tonari no Totoro the author Kubo Tsugiko wrote that the girls' mother was spoiler[a case of tuberculosis].
At Hoseien Hospital Fujisawa Shūhei spoiler[underwent an operation on his right lung]. |
