You have to be kidding?

Sorry. I do not want to watch anime on my cellphone. I didn't spend all that money in my home entertainment system to buy things for a cell phone.

HD or at least SD quality videos for <= 99 cents please.

And torrents would be best.[/b]

I don't have at&t cell phone, I don't even have a cell phone, but I do have at&t for about everything else I I must say they really suck and I am switching at the end of the summer. If funimation wants to get people to migrate to legal services they need to release titles like pirates do( minus the free part), open source codecs( ones that support dual audio, removable subs would be awsome), no drm, and no silly agreements( minus distributing without permission) so I can play it on what I want, how I want, when I want, as many times as want, and burning it if I want to.( gonzo has a pretty good setup with CR)

Woot. Something that will affect me. maybe i'll give it a go in a few days when i get my new phone. Right now i'm stuck with a repalcement, after I broke mine. The replacement isn't the best,so I doubt it will load.

99 cents is the perfect amount for an episode though. Thats less than some 30 sec. Ringtones.

I don't have a cell phone (holding out. Every time I'm almost there, I almost get whacked by an idiot talking-or texting now-while driving & my resolve returns). but I've had AT&T for my phone service forever. I've tries other cheaper companies, but they reeked (always had ghost voices on Sprint) & the UVerse I got this month seems fantastic.
However, I don't rent, I buy, so I only see this as good for trying a title out-maybe 3 eps max. Of course my daughter has Verizon, so it wouldn't apply yet.

Funny that they're expanding to cell phones faster than they're expanding to PCs and HD formats.

I'm just imagining the headline on the news when someone gets into an accident because they were watching anime on their cellphone. Rolling Eyes

???

FUNimation has already offered many titles for download-to-own on iTunes, Zune and on their own website. And they've already released many DBZ movies on Blu-ray, as well as Afro Samurai.

Interesting news but anime (along with TV shows and movies) on cell phones has never interested me. But why the hell did they decide to use Moon Phase and Galaxy Railways as their debut titles anyway? Confused I honestly expected them to use a Gonzo title.

Another import idea from Japan that won't fly here....

In Japan, they use cellphones for everything, for movies and even the internet, more than computers (IIRC, the only developed country where computer sales are falling).
