The shadow-y look instantly makes me think of GONZO or Madhouse.

Animated cutscenes would be great. I'd hate to bust my thumbs over a boss just to watch a slideshow.

Yeah they did.
Looking at the pictures, it looks like it is either Gonzo or Madhouse. I can't go any further unless more pictures are provided. |
