Let's throw a word into ANN's dictionary: Otome adventure game. And no, it's not called like that because female anime fans play it, it's because maidens are the protagonists.

In this case, the game is aimed at female players. This game is like Konami's Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side and Koei's Neo Romance lineup of Angelique and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de (Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time).

"Heart no Kuni no Alice, the record-breaking hit romance adventure game on the PC platform for female players"

For the record, the Japanese Wikipedia disagrees with your statement and says that Otome games are games aimed at females that happen to feature heroines in romantic situations with male characters.

Hmm, well this is somewhat disappointing. I was hopping that if Alice was ever adapted into an anime, it would take a more demented horror approach. Much in the same vein as American McGee's Alice.

I am not saying that this will be bad or anything, I don't know anything about it. I was just hoping that any Alice in Wonderland news would be about a dark version being created. Crying or Very sad

But wouldn't American McGee's Alice be an expensive property for an anime title since there is a live-action version coming out?

Oh! I didn't know that. Razz I guess that would make it rather expensive.

To be honest though, I wasn't really saying I hope they directly adapt American McGee's Alice. Just that I would like to see something similar done. Though now that Hollywood has its claws in it I suppose anything similar would be considered a rip, and therefore not likely to happen. Too bad. I think it would make one heck of an anime. Hopefully that movie turns out good.

ABOUT TIME!!! Smile

I think this is absolutely wonderful, and I had always thought an anime adaption would be just the thing it needed. I like this version because the protagonist, unlike many Otome heroines I've heard, has a strong ice queen personality.

If anyone's curious, here's a trailer to the game.

Yes according to wiki . Fushigi no Kuni no Alice in 1983.

I see, thanks. But I was wondering if an anime adaption already existed for this game.
