Nice to know, but what about Earthsea? I was hoping it would be out soon.

The Sci-fi channel owns theatrical rights to earthsea until next year. Expect an announcement after they expire.

-squeals- Yay! ^^ I can't wait for next year to see this! Hopefully if it is released in theaters I can see it; sadly when Howl's Moving Castle was in theaters it wasn't in one close enough to home, so maybe this time I'll get lucky. Anime hyper

But if not, I'll definately check this out when it comes out on DVD! ^^ Yay yay!

I'd assumed the US release had already been announced, since it's due out in the UK on April 3rd.

Kathleen Kennedy is a wonderful producer. This movie is in great hands.

Only Lasseter whom Miyazaki will let touch his films in America. Laughing

Probably will just be a very limited American theatrical release since, even though it's based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, it's Japanese enouigh away from it that even Ariel wouldn't recognize it.

I was expecting a release frame similar to this. Still, I can't wait. Hopefully it manages to make its way to Fargo sooner than later.

Not necessarily. If memory serves correctly, The UK got a firm release date for Howl's Moving Castle before the US did.

From an Oscar standpoint, I'm glad, since it won't be competing directly with WALL-E.

Not that it won't face any Oscar competition against Pixar, it'll be up against Up, though, but I don't know what to expect from that film.

I heard Earthsea received negative reviews by Japan and Foreigns. What's going on?

Tenchi: I'm just hoping Girl Who Leapt Through Time competes with Wall-E.

Oh, and this is old news.
