Hope nothing was damaged or loss, its the last thing ADV needs right now as they struggle to keep afloat.

I wish them luck. Though something tells me that this isn't going to affect their business. Because well, they don't have much of a business to speak of anymore.

I hope that they are doing okay. Property damage from hurricanes and floods are no laughing matter. Sad

Just so everyone else understands I consider this borderline trolling.

If you don't have anything to add outside of some dumb attempt at being "edgy" then please do us all a favor and abstain. This is a serious natural disaster; that it effects people who work in the anime industry does not give you a free pass to be a jerk about it. Your precious animes are safe.

I will gleefully ban anyone making any sort of inappropriate comments in this thread.

Seriously. Never mind that I wished them luck. I guess that meant nothing.

They're pretty far inland, although the bad news is that the area where HQ is is flood-plane flat.

people wise everyone should be fine. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't a good part of Texas evacuated? That aside I'm pretty sure any irreplaceable material valuables were kept safe in preparation for the storm before it hit.

This begs the question of why a company, let alone one as sensitive to downtime and dataloss as a production and/or distribution company, or one along the gulf coast where hurricanes are known to visit from time-to-time, didn't have a contingency plan or redudant backup web-/server?

So when I tried to justifiably defend myself, my post gets deleted. Making me look even worse. I haven't visited the forums in months, and this is how I'm treated when I return.

I specifically wished them well first and foremost in my post, and then I made a lighthearted comment (about one of my favorite companies mind you). Then I get publicly insulted and talked down to by a moderator. I apologize if my comment offended anyone, I seriously only meant it as a lighthearted comment. But I also strongly feel that I deserve an apology for the over reaction and public insults against me.

Well... couldn't have said it better Myself Cool

But,anyway,I'm glad it didn't turn out like it did in my hometown,New Orleans,3 years ago. I mean,no one wants to lose valuables(including "precious anime's")but they can be replaced. When lives are lost, children and all, than FEMA and Red Cross are useless.

Oh yeah, and Ray Nagin(current mayor of N.O.)is a moron for tellling Texas evacuees that there would be a "Nagin special rate" at the hotels... and there wasn't.
