So, wait, is there nothing on Sci-Fi this week? This is an outrage! OUTRAGE!

Plus, that's kind of evil, too. How come you didn't mention that?

Huh, you forgot to mention the new episode of Dinosaur King. This week's dinosaur is the Deltadromeus, and here's a Halloween picture to go with it. Cool

Probably just an accidental omission in the column, I'd say. Sci Fi's online schedule has Gurren Lagann back in the eleven o'clock hour, with Dead Leaves following at midnight.

Wow, Cartoon Network must really be laying on the commercials thick since The Batman vs. Dracula is less than 90 minutes and it's completely pushing Naruto out this week. Not to mention, The Batman is not good anyway. I get with Halloween coming up they wanted something with monsters etc. so Dracula makes sense, but seeing as how The Batman didn't really meet much success before, this seems foolish. If they want to bust out some Batman than get the series from the 90's.

WHY, O WHY MUST RECOMMENDED SHOWS BE SHOWN AT THE UNGODLY HOUR OF 5AM???!!! WHY, GOD?! WHY???!!! Anime cry (and don't tell me that it's penitence for not owning one of those damnable recording devices; I'm barely lucky enough to live in an household that has DISH network! Anime exclamation )

This is so damn annoying. We were finally nearing the end of that stupid filler arc, and now CN puts the show on hiatus to show some craptastic movie? WTF!?

Ohhhh, this is in the POS Batman strain? No need to go rushing off to set the DVR then.

I should've added that the SECOND darkest thing would be a show like Code Geass living out its dying, desperate days alone and unloved in a terrible timeslot.

Sadly it's not alone ... Moribito is right there in all the glory of a festering corpse.

There's just something wrong with the world (dare I say evil?) about the Pizza Hut logo not being under CG.

In fact, Planetes is such a good show, it's sort of impervious to evil.

Is there no Fullmetal Alchemist to be mentioned? A complete re-run of the series, yeah, but still- it's more worthwhile than writing summaries for stuff like Bakugan.

Halloween is fun for all! Even demon-hating fundamentalist religions have their own special Haunted Houses, and they still give out candy!

I'll... just disagree with that quickly. We weren't really fundamentalist, but my parents were convinced that Halloween was of the devil. We spent most Halloweens huddled in the basement, hoping trick-or-treaters wouldn't realize anyone was home. Try hanging out with friends after having spent the evening huddled in the basement while they were enjoying their candy. (Candy my parents were convinced was spiked with razor blades or poison or other unpleasant deadly pranks).

Well I just checked, The Batman vs. Dracula will be followed by another episode of The Batman. Rolling Eyes

It really is a shame what CN/Adult Swim is doing to anime. But at this point I guess it can't be helped anymore. They're just like every other cable network with large national exposure now and only care about profits. They can make more money showing their own crap (and yes quite a lot of it is) than they could showing anime. As much as I hate to even think about it. I'll honestly be surprised if anything besides Bakugan, Pokemon, and Bleach are still premiering new episodes in 2009.

I'm willing to bet that when we finally finish with the fillers, then, just as the final filler episode runs through with and we're celebrating for the oncome of Shippuuden... they cancel Naruto. All that pain for nothing.

Sooo, Bleach is slowly fading away in fillers, Naruto is in fillers, Code Geass is unwatchable in its current timeslot, Death Note doesn't air anymore, Fullmetal Alchemist is re-running, Inuyasha's gone... Will there be nothing left but unwatchable BAKUGAN and POKEMON in the future of Cartoonnetwork?

I miss Toonami too.
