So i'm guessing the movie plans have been scrapped in favor of a those 3 new series ?
2011 can't come soon enough Sad

edit : hum , according to lecitesdor.com , the movie project isn't abandoned, but place aside so they can focus on producing the new series .

This is awesome news! But 2011 seems so far away now.

Hopefully the R1 English DVD release of the original series will see it's way to the US until then.

I'm still waiting for the DVD release of the original series. I hope the plans for a Q1 2009 release don't fall through.

I LOVED this show as a kid. I don't even remember anything about it, I just know that I couldn't wait to get up at six a.m. to watch it.

Heh, same here. I loved it as a kid, but can't remember the plot beyond them looking for the Cities of Gold. Laughing

OK, that's unexpected. I've still not watched the whole series as I bought it as a present for my sister and she's still wading her way through it..

My memories of this show are extremely hazy, but I remember watching it regularly (it was part of a cartoon diet that consisted of Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats, and Voltron among others like Heathcliff and Warner Bros standbys), and that the main character was named Esteban. I also remember the older character referring to the "gates of Hell" and being quite shocked by that.

The fact that he went ahead and announced the project at an anime convention, makes me suspect that this might be another co-production like the last series. Either way, even if it isn't I'll be looking forward to it. I really loved the last series (and infact, I still need to finish watching it) and do hope that he can get some of the same staff on board with this project from the original series.

Although, I'd imagen that would be hard, given how old the series is. But I can be hopeful, right?

They've finally set a date for the series! It will be released April 7. There's going to be a special edition for $79.95 and a regular edition for $49.95.

So, can anyone remember Philip Schofield singing the theme tune in the Broom Cupboard? CBBC hasn't been the same since the Broom Cupboard went...

Heh, I think most of us were that way as well, I remember watching MCoG the same way over 20 years ago and forgot much of it's plot, but perhaps because I never got it videotaped for repeat usage to get it knocked into my head.
