Hey now, in the publishing biz it's WAY more cool and hip to be a "manga publisher" than a "novel publisher".

Plain text is SOO 20th century.

The announcement of Ubume no Natsu is hardly new, it's been listed on Vertical's own website since at least last summer (when I was furiously Googling for any information on Mouryou no Hako!). The original release date for the novel was May 09 (and still is on Amazon) - has this now been pushed back?

Well, yay for Vertical. They've put out some excellent stuff (I've read Buddha and To Terra, just started Black Jack yesterday), even if it's not real appealing (yet) to typical manga fans. Don't know why they feel the need to flip some of their titles, though.

In the case of BUDDHA, I assume they're aiming for a wider audience that isn't used to reading unflipped manga.
