While the campaign may still be going strong, so they say, if the volumes don't last that long on the list, then there is going to be problems. However, as long as there are volumes ranked on the list, then that still means that people are buying the books and therefore sales are coming in. Sometimes you might wish that things went up instead of down. We'll have to see how they fare over the next week or so.

Whoopee...more Naruto. NOT. I am sick to death of seeing half the manga section in my local book/comic shops dominated by every single volume of Naruto, and only random volumes of other better things... When will people learn there is more to manga than Naruto?!

it appears to kids, which is one reason why it's selling so much. i too am tired of ecountering huge amounts of naruto/bleach fans that only read or watch those and very few other manga and anime.

it's annoying, i know it is, but naruto and bleach are very simple which is why they appeal so much. to the fans, its the best thing ever, but to otaku that actually read and watch tons of others, they're only okay series.

Now there's an generalization if there ever was one. I stopped reading Naruto for a number of years, but I just recently caught up with where the Japanese are and it's bloody fantastic. I wouldn't call the current plot simple at all, nor a number of the main characters, and I've read quite a bit of manga.

Actually, after the campaign ends, there will be a three month delay before the next volume (where the manga will be running in Shonen Jump), then after that, a new volume will be released every two months. The magazine will always be a little bit ahead of the graphic novels.

And yes, Naruto is easily the best shonen manga I've ever read.

I agree. I've seen/read probably over 100 (or close to it) anime and manga by now, and Naruto would still probably be in my top 25. Two of my friends have probably seen close to 3 times as much as I have, and they love Naruto as well.

And why is it annoying? Good sales benefit the manga company as a whole, therefore they don't have to cancel other titles that might not be selling as well. If anything, you should be grateful they've found a wide audience (that actually buy the series, for that matter).

When the series ends, or another series actually makes its miracle debut onto the list. As long as the series maintains the following that it does, then it's going to continue to come up on the list. And believe me, it won't die out anytime soon.

It's not good sales I'm complaining about, it's great to see people supporting the industry, it's the fact that it dominates the manga section in every shop, leaving little room for anything else...

And that is why people should be encouraging other people to buy manga besides Naruto. The problem is that Naruto as a franchise has one of the biggest followings for a series right now. It is pretty obvious with all of the cosplayers and groups, and a certain flake kid asking Zac the Answerman how to use his chakra to master his ninja powers.
