Talk about your mixed blessings. On the one hand, they can watch the new FMA at the same time the Japanese can, on the other they have to put up with Vic Mignogna.

*pinches herself*

I... I am reading that right, aren't I? A stream that I can actually watch? And on top of that, I'll finally be able to get 5cm Per Second on DVD?

I must be going crazy or something. o_o

Words...cannot express my joy at this news. Very Happy

About Vic, don't blow a gasket. He'll only present the first episode. After that, I doubt he'll just poke in randomly mid-scene and say "HAY GUIZ HOW'S IT GOIN?" Rolling Eyes

Maybe tha Dingo ayte your Philosophers Stone...

That's cool though. There's a lot of valuable markets outside of R1 and Asia that often get ignored. It's tough for companies to even break into them though with the old business model. Free, streaming anime may have even more potential in places without a developed DVD market than it does here.

Couple of mistakes in the article

The convention at which this will premiere is called SUPANOVA not Supernova

http://www.supanova.com.au/

The time of the screening is also 6pm AEST Sunday April 5th. Which is 5pm JST.

The time in which the episodes will be online is yet to be detrmined but Madman is commited to bringing the episodes online as close to broadcast as possible.

that is a good question...I don't know if they're doing Geo-region blocking by IP addresses.

WOW, this is great news...now the only news I really want to hear now is for Funi to get this very soon (unless of course this simulca uses the same VA's as funi)

That's true but it is over 90% Madman Entertainment in terms of anime. Meaning that smaller titles often don't make it to us or take a long time.

That said i'm very happy about the news, Australia actually gets a big future title anime release simulcast. I can't wait and I hope that it's a precedent for similar things in the future.

I'd assume it's restricted to Australian IPs, but hopefully there will be some way for other regions to watch the show, too.

They're plenty of programs. Are we allowed to talk about them?
