You'd figure after MvC, Japan would be very interested in Marvel anime. But that brand is still "niche" over there, it seems.

"intended to show off the style of the piece only. Nothing in here reflects the actual content, just the design and the aesthetic and the animation."

Yes,in this series, Wolverine is an Emo who is not sure if he's straight or gay, hence is bad moods and temper. Twisted Evil

I'm liking the the Iron Man anime. But the Wolverine kind of creep me out. Wolverine's design just doesn't fit for me. Can they maybe redesign Wolverine so it can fit all of us?

@ GATSU: I think Marvel Comic is really famous in Japan. Remember the live-action Spiderman Toutkatsu in the mid-70's.

I didn't like the style of the Wolverine anime however Ironman looked amazing. Reminded me of some old school Megaman stuff.

I'm with the rest here. The Wolverine teaser just looked like some guy with claws and just looked silly. As for the Iron Man... It may not have anything to do with Iron Man but it looks very pretty with tons of action.
I finally just watched Planet Hulk trailer. It looks interesting. Hopefully this is a kick off to the Civil War story. One can only hope.

No problems with Wolverine as its aimed for a different market. Places like Thailand, Singepore, Malaysia prob. Even in beast mode, the guy has to look sexy. A very Asian trailer. Go Rintaro!

Iron Man had a nice trailer also.

I am trying to keep an open mind about Wolverine. It's true that it's hard to let go of the image of the short, broadly-built and manly-man Wolvie we all know. But what will really matter is the story, right? I bet people could get used to the style over time. And I have a feeling Madhouse inserted generic Asian stuff into that trailer that won't be in the show (I'm referring to the yokai or whatever those were that became a giant samurai). Now, Wolverine fighting ninjas is something I think we can all get behind.

The Iron Man trailer is one jaw-dropping piece of work. The Japanese have always owned the market when it comes to over-the-top animated mecha action, so I don't think they can do any wrong with this property (besides possibly making Pepper Potts blonde, but Ellis is cautioning us not to think we recognize any characters, so...).

Watching the Ironman trailer, my first thought when the bad guy transformed was "Boomer!"

The wolverine trailer made me laugh but the ironman one looks cool.

Was anyone else reminded of Highlander: The Search for Vengeance when they saw the Wolverine trailer? I think it's the 80's mullet that does it for me.

I'll reserve judgment on the Wolverine anime, as what I disliked in the trailer was the music and the bad guys (giant scythe-samurai=sentinel?), and those will most likely be different in the actual show.

Iron Man, on the other hand, looks awesome as is. I'll be keeping an eye out for that one.

Wolverine reminded me of the Devil May Cry anime. Which sucked.

Re: the Wolverine trailer...What, Logan's a bishie?! Well...this can't be worse than the Origins movie from earlier this spring...But how do you translate "bub" in Japanese?

Re: the Iron Man trailer...OMG, Stark's fighting Alex Rowe?! And where did the captain of the Silvana get a mecha suit? (I know, from the Guild, right?) Wink At any rate, no argument from me, _this_ trailer looked most impressive...the attention to minute details on Stark's suit are just jaw-dropping.

I can't get past Wolverine having such an epic mullet. Is Japan thirty years behind on hairstyles? No chance of a mullet working. Ever.

I forgot to also mention that Wolverine has rich japanese background so they really didn't have to really make it weird. I would have to assume this is just a adaptation of the character. Will probably check it out still though.

I just hope the Iron Manime keeps that same animation art style, it's like a Judas Priest album art.
