We can basically already assume
Music: Susumu Hirasawa (Berserk, Millenium Acress, Paranioa Agent, Paprika) will pop up on the staff list at some point. Hirasawa has provided the music for all of the recent Kon projects, and, besides, "Yume-Miru Kikai" automatically brings to mind (for me, at least), "Watashi wa yume miru machine desu." |

Not content to just fry our brains as adults, he's going to warp minds from childhood! As a huge Satoshi Kon fan, I am really looking forward to this. If it's for kids, maybe he'll finally get the attention he deserves in America... |

Seems most interesting.
I loved the abstractness behind Paprika. But the last time I went to Blockbuster, my mother exclaimed I couldn't rent Perfect Blue because one reviewer on the back said it was like "Alfred Hitchcock". Well that is what I get. But this seems really interesting ... I love experimental films (checking out Trapeze at the moment) and this has a really arty style ... like a cartoon yet with firm anime roots. Reminiscent of Tezuka's wave ... |

I found this notice on the Yume-Miru Kikai website:
Recruiting production staffs for "Yume-Miru Kikai" Concept Artist: People with full of ideas and can draw detailed environmental drawings Animation: People who are interested in animating feature animation. Background: People who can paint detailed background painting. Anyone who can draw with digital tools. I know it's in Japanese, but anyone with really good art portfolio (no Anime/Manga drawings) try his or her luck. If French artists who worked on Basquash at Satelite studio could do it, then it may be possible. Madhouse hires non-Japanese artists occasionally. |

Finally some news. I was wondering when this was getting underway. Looking forward to seeing this feature.
I remember hearing about this posted but at that time it was in process. He spends a great deal of time on his projects. |

I'm glad to finally hear some news about this. I can only read the hiragana on the movie's home page, but I'm still bookmarking it. I had to giggle at the home page. Is it sad that the first thought that came to mind was "Hey look! It's Paprika!"? Not that I consider that a bad thing though...
