NEWS: Ring ni Kakero 1: Shadow TV Anime to Debut on April 2

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes yes yes yes yes yes!

Interesting that it will be on Animax this time and not on TV Asahi as the first two seasons were. I'm still thinking that the whole "Sekai-hen" that Kurumada had on his lyrics sheet will probably still indicate that the anime will go beyond the Shadow Chapter, which will probably be dragged out a little for the anime, and will still go to the Sekai Taikai/World Championship; they'll just fix the subtitle when appropriate.

Also, this will be the first time that a season of the Ring ni Kakero 1 anime will be airing during the time when ANN does its "Preview Guide", which will mean one of two things:
1. ANN will probably overanalyze it and hate it, finding the show stupid, cliched, and too simple, without knowing that this was originally created back in the 70s and was the first shonen title of its kind. Also, it will be reviewed by people who didn't bother to watch the first two seasons and will complain that it explains nothing beforehand.

or

2. Someone might realize what the show really is, which is a fun, straight-up shonen action anime that doesn't try to update the original story and instead decides to be as accurate as possible to the original material, minus some stereotypes and scenes that aren't very "PC" now due to changing times (1970s compared to now).

And, once again... Please license this show! Anyone! FUNimation, Sentai, Media Blasters, anyone!

I just want to see this animated lol, btw do you know what manga volumes does the Shadow arc is supposed to cover?

As a card-carrying Masamist, I'm really excited about this, too. Little by little, Kurumada seems to be getting closer to his dream of seeing all or RinKake animated.
