Oh wow, a sports anime! I've been wanting to see Eyeshield 21, too, so now I have my chance. Cool!

Honestly I've only heard of this company in the past two days and I must say they're picking some great titles. Aside from the harem one, anyway.
I'm happy to see Eyeshield 21 actually getting a DVD release after it had been on CN and Toonami Jetstream back whenever.

I'm curious, what does "more You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle" means exactly? I thought they had already licenced the complete third season in december.

These are some interesting licenses for Sentai. I probably will pick up Asu no Yoichi and Eyeshield 21. I thought Viz would pick up Eyeshield 21 since they have the manga. I would like to see how the football action looks animated.

I am going to honest here. I am picking up Asu no Yoichi for the eye candy it is. I am reading the manga now and there is a gratuitous amount of "I did not mean to bump into or touch you in that manner."

I streamed Asu no Yoichi a while back and quite liked it. Yes, it is an ecchi harem and I know there are plenty of anime viewers who will dismiss it on that ground alone, but I found fairly entertaining. I'm also really glad to hear about Hell Girl 2, but I'm assuming because it will be Sentai putting it out, there will be no dub. I hate to be a dub whiner, but the first season did come out in R1 dubbed, so that makes it even more of a bummer that the second season likely won't be.

i was waiting FOREVER!!! for Funimation to license Seasons 2 and 3 of Hell Girl and the way they do things made it seem like they were trying to. But it seems that wasn't the case.

I am glad to be getting it but at the same time I am very disappointed because it's more then likely not going to have a dub and even if it does it will not have the same cast the original season 1 did and the original cast did a incredible job. Namely Brina Palencia playing Ai Enma.

Hooray, this means I can finally buy Ex Machina on Blu-ray (I don't like having series like that split over 2 formats)

I'd say they only licensed the first half, and now they have the rest.

Yeah, it sucks massively. Hell Girl had one of my absolute favorite dubs, a great cast with spot-on direction throughout. This license isn't just a complete shock to me but a rage-inducing one.

Not rage at Section23. No, they might very well get a buy from me because I love the Japanese cast for Hell Girl too! This could end up being the first and possibly only sub-only release I ever buy. Before it was licensed originally, I almost started buying R2s of it.

No, I feel pure anger at Funimation right now. I mean, what happened here? The last I heard from any official source Hell Girl was selling fine! Now after waiting, pleading and outright begging for it, this happens? WTF!

Yeah, I get it, they aren't catering just to me and I guess someone thought this show wasn't worth them getting but someone over at Section23 obviously thought otherwise. So pardon me if I'm a little pissed off.

Is this the start of a new trend? When Funimation decides not to finish something, Section23 will?

I'm happy and disappointed that these shows got licensed. I'm happy because I can own them legally, disappointed because of no english dub option. Even though I usually end up not liking english dubs, I just like having the option.

Well, minutes after I made my last post, I got called for a "family conference" where I learned about EVEN MORE GOOD NEWS! (It involves a con artist and how my family may now be epically screwed.)

Today is a fun day. Rolling Eyes

Well i can imagine that this is going to happen with Big Windup! If Section23 gets good sales from Eyesheild21 i can see them picking up some other sports anime that Funimation has no interest in picking up and licensing.

I'm grateful that Sentai seems to be doing well. I've enjoyed a lot of their releases, even with the occasional typos.

Maybe they'll be able to pick up Oofuri since Funimation dropped it?

I would love them forever if they did that. I really enjoyed the first season and was really bummed when Funi announced they would most likely pass on the second season.
