Woh Yumiko Kobayashi and Kaori Nazuka at Anime Central? Nice. Must prepare some generic fan questions and the all too intrusive personal life questions. Oh neat, Kouki Uchiyama is the voice of Banagher for the new Gundam OVA too. Must construct a cardboard Gundam suit.
All jokes aside that's some great stuff if they don't cancel on us in the last minute. |

I'm rather disappointed, actually. With the way they hyped this up, I was expecting guests that would be brought in for a specific title, but also had crossover appeal for fans of other series. This was a huge letdown IMO, since really only Soul Eater fans would care about this. Two of these seiyuu have a decent resume, but the other two were barely in anything besides Soul Eater.
I'm happy for the Soul Eater fans that are excited for this, don't get me wrong. I just think it's a shame that this is most likely our "big" guest announcement for the year. |

That's epic good news I don't watch Soul Eater, but Eureka and True Tears are like two of my all-time favorites... Just in time for me to get my Blu-Ray True Tears box set signed

Nazuki and Kobayashi both have extensive voice resumes and if you're a fan of anime voice talent (unfortunately, I am NOT) then one or both should have SOMETHING that amuses you in there. As for the other two. Takahira has a minor mention in the article and in the end is probably mostly "bonus". As for Uchiyama, I HATE to say it, but he could POSSIBLY be considered the biggest coup of this announcement for Anime Central because of his voice work for Kingdom Hearts. I SERIOUSLY hope I'm wrong, I hope really strongly that there won't be a hundred squealing SquareSoft fangirls looking to enhance their yaoi fantasies, but there probably will be. |

Yeah, I'm not a huge voice talent fan, either. But when the only character I really recognized any of these guests for is Lorenza from Le Chevalier D'Eon? Something isn't right. |

Well the guest list for ACen this year is shaping up nicely; we've got "Kobaya~shi", Uchiyama, Kaori, and Narumi from Japan. From the States we've got Vic, Todd Haberkorn, Brina Palencia, and J. Micheal Tatum; not to mention that we've got Aural Vampire for our musical guests.

I don't follow VAs all that much except for the "hmm... he/she sounds familiar, must check ANN to see where else I've heard him/her." But really? You didn't care for Eureka Seven, Code Geass, Fruit Basket, Bamboo Blade, .Hack, Noein, or maybe even Strike Witches? A few of those would be a must in various types of Otaku libraries or watchlist. Depending on your taste. I have to argue that these 4 are really just for Soul Eater fans. Kaori Nazua has been in a lot of stuff and most will probably remember her more for her voice as Eureka in Eureka Seven rather then Soul Eater. Yumiko Kobayashi is just a really recognizable voice with her copious amount of boy characters but yeah, Black Star is her more current and bigger roles. In the future, Kouki Uchiyama will probably be remembered more from the Gundam Unicorn series depending on how well it does but right now he's probably riding the wave from his Kingdom Hearts role as Roxas and the Roxas lookalike in the new Kingdom Hearts games. Narumi Takahira would be the only for "Soul Eater fan" type. |
