I guess I was going to take a peek at Heroman until I read about cockroach aliens. Confused Still looking forward to the Iron Man anime, which looks to be more promising when it comes to taking a spin on an American concept. Or did that get pushed back? I don't think it was on the second version of the spring chart, but it was on the first....

Every season seems to get worse and worse. Anime is going downhill. Time to break out those 80's anime again

There, I've said it now nobody else needs to Very Happy

Heroman looks like something I might be interested in. The new Ikkii Tousen series is what I was really looking forward to this season so I will give it a watch when I get time.

Stan Lee was a good writer back in the day but really, good story writing has evolved far beyond what Stan Lee can produce.

I just hope we get some more reviews by Zac! His reviews have become my favorite part of these previews!

My favorite time(s) of the year is back!

Anyway, Xtreme Xecutor - because poor literacy is kewl!

I will probably check out Heroman just to see if it falls into the "so stupid it's fun" category for me. I've been known to like retro corn in the past, so I might as well give it a whirl since I've got a crunchyroll account.

Keep the reviews coming!

I have never actually reviewed Ikkitousen anything, mainly because doing so would require me to watch it. However, if I WERE to write an Ikkitousen review, the title of it would be this:

"Do not pursue Lu Boob."

Actually, let's retroactively place this statement/title into every Ikkitousen review there is.

The phrase Xtreme Xecutor makes me imagine an estate planning superhero.

Not sure what to think of the fact the 2 shows scored so closely together given how different the reviews were with Carl"s. Unless that .5 means alot more then I thought it did or if a 2.5 is just that bad and it would be too mean a score to give a show just being honest with itself.

In either case I'll probably watch Heroman while Ikki Tousen will undoubtedly fall off my radar once again. I think I've tried to watch this series on 5 different occasions now and downloaded the entire series' fansubs 3 different times after wondering why I was watching it in the first place each of those times. I just may be past that point where that type of fanservice doesn't do anything to me nor appeal to me anymore. Plus with all the of the illegally free hentai out there, why beat around the bush right? Just kidding.

Honestly I've been looking forward to Heroman. I'll be surprised if it'll be a series I would call the "the best" this season but I'm betting I'll like it at the least. So a guess a 3.5 was an expected score for me that accurately reflects my initial opinion of it. It looks great though and I'm okay with the ideas of giant alien coachroaches (yes coachroaches) and the bit of old school america feel. And to be honest there are quite a few series I wanna check out this season. Hey, Baka to Test was a suprise to me so hell, at least gotta give them a try. Even Ikki Tousen again... sigh...

Watching Heroman right now (so far it's campy fun) and I had to point out at 14:30, sitting at the bar --- apparently Stan Lee does cameos in all his work! How nerdy cool!

LATER:
Okay, I finished the first episode, enjoyed the silliness of it. I worry the charm may wear off after a few episode, though.

Heroman seems interesting. I will most likely check it out. As for ikki, yea, uhhmhmh, i think i'll pass, i tried to watch the first two series and found them too stupid to even watch but hey, i tried. Can't wait for more previews that are coming in the upcoming days. Very Happy

The link for Hope is actually another for Theron. Somebody please fix that. I mean, I've watched her smackdown review of the first Ikki Tousen series, and I want to see if she rips into this one.

Methinks you put that in the wrong thread . . . just a hunch.

He also appears much earlier in the episode, too - see a back shot of him at 3:14 and a much clearer side shot at 3:29.
