Don't know much about this, but I like slice-of-life and so far it doesn't look moeblob. That's worth keeping an eye on in my book!

There have been too few romance titles based off of dating sims lately, so this is nice to hear.

I wonder if there will be a Love Plus anime made any time soon. There are 3 Love Plus mangas that focuses on each girl.

This does sound different from the usual H-game adapatation in that
1) The original was a playstation2 game, so presumably didn't have explicit sex (that would have to be removed for the anime), and
2) They aren't trying to fit all the branches into a single plotline.

There have been eroge with anime adaptations whose original is a ps2 game, though

Nevertheless, it's a highly sexualized game. In fact, gamers commented that Amagami is even sexier than many eroge (some of which are pretty clean up until the scenes in question. Amagmi is the opposite approach where normal event scenes are spiced up), presumably to compensate for the lack of explicit scenes.

Wait so there is going to be a separate adaption for each girl? I think that's stupid, shouldn't they just focus on one girl?

Sorry if I am wrong, just what I got from it.

Ah, NO.

Instead of the usual UnwantedHarem, MurderTheHypotenuse, Love Traingle/Dodecahedron, and all the other cliches related with the harem genre that frustrates people, it's better to adapt each girl's own arcs (although they would have to compress it) and focus on each of the characters. I would rather see all the girls content-compressed-but focused-"routes" than watch multiple female heroines gets entangled in a sterotypical harem showdown.

After the KimiKiss' adaptation decay, this was clearly a smart move.

So kind of like how they do it in Air, Kanon, and Clannad?

So having two protagonists instead of one was a bad idea?

If the Kimikiss manga is any indication, it's structured so that each story is a complete retelling that ends with the protagonist hooking up with a different heroine. Basically, they please fans of each character (since viewers all get the ending they want at some point) and avoid the difficulty of trying to string all the stories into a cohesive whole.

Each retelling in the Kimikiss manga has almost no overarching plot. It cuts straight to the matter and focuses on the interactions between protagonist and heroine (which is the emphasis of the original game anyway).

Commercially speaking, yes. The problem wasn't just the two protagonists but also the addition of Eiji Kai.

Fans of the game were so repulsed by the concept (i.e. other guys stealing and subsequently defiling their girls) that it didn't matter how well/poorly the show was executed. What should've been a massive hit (and really, Kimikiss was the hottest bishoujo game at the time. The DVDs would've sold like crazy had Ken'ichi Kasai and the producers pandered to purists instead of experimenting) was instantly a flop from day one. At 2ch, it was the punching bag of the season, so much that even anime fans from Korea and Taiwan/Hong Kong/China jumped on the bandwagon.

This time, they're playing it safe and sticking with the manga formula.
