This is a really good step for the new generations to come. Cheers for Toei animation, Nicktoons and FUnimation! Smile

Too bad it'll be so edited/censored.

But based on those clips they provided on the Nicktoons site, the new English dub seems pretty solid, for a Funimation dub of that material. I'm loving the new Gohan and Bulma.

Funniest part is that the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the first 13 episode is on May 18, 2010. Which is 6 days earlier then the TV release. So if you want to whine about the edits just go buy the DVDs. Or just shut up and watch.

And probably ruined as well. I really hate to see my favorite shows censored and heavily edited, but at least most of the original actors were hired for the series.

Really, there is no need for censorship in Dragon Ball Z Kai. There is hardly any fan service at all and the violence is pretty mild as well. There are plenty of other shows that Nick has showed that are much more violent than Dragon Ball Z Kai that aired in the history of the TV station.

Yeah, hurray for the new generations...

As for myself... I'll stick to my uncensored/unedited DVDs of the first DBZ series, thank you very much. Wink

I can't wait for the next generations of fans. So many more Anime discussions/battles to be waged.

DBZ is what allows Funimation to buy more licenses, so be damn thankful that Dragon Ball is still kicking ass. It's also what funds your English Funi Dubs, I'm sure.

As long as our Dragonboxes continue, I'm all for any of the bastardizations they want to throw around.

Nicktoons =! Nickelodeon

Nicktoons' history has only been around less than a decade.

I know, but that doesn't change the fact that Dragon Ball Z Kai is going to be heavily edited and such.

I am glad that Funimation actually that is going to release an uncut and unedited version of Kai. Dragon Ball Z Kai should never be edited or such.
