Hmmm... Just a manga revival? Or... Is it possible this is only the beginning?

Maybe that rumored G Gundam remake will really happen. Very Happy

I would be so happy! Though, Marc Gahta is retired from voice acting now, and I can't imagine anyone else as Domon.

Really? Because I could easily imagining someone who is, you know, good doing the role in his place. The only reason I didn't switch to subs is because I'd rather listen to the subpar dub than listen to "Shingu Fingah" every episode.

I didn't really read Koichi Tokita's G gundam manga i was reading the "go for it Domon" strips at the back. Condensing gundam into 3 volumes left much to be desired. But Rain dressing Domon up as a Xmass tree was funny. I will one day track down that copy of Gundam Wing manga I'm missing.

I wonder why. Don't the Gundam otaku in Japan hate this series with a passion?

It's jarringly awesome enough to see a new G Gundam comic with Imagawa writing it, but it's got Blazing Transfer Student/Skullman Shimamoto on art to boot?

As awesome as this is, There's something else I'd rather have Imagawa be scripting right now...

If they ever decided to do a anime based on it, it would be kinda nice to see Marc Gahta return to his role but I think his schedule as a resident doctor would be conflicting.

My initial reaction to this news was, and I quote, "LOLWUT" 8D

Maybe, but maybe they got over it, but I sort of understand where they're coming from. I mean, how would you initially react if they got Fist of the North Star in your war-in-space opera? For being the first Gundam that was different, it was really different.

Seriously. Where's True Mazinger Great-Chapter? And Dizer-Chapter?

As for the supposed "hate" of G Gundam in Japan, it's mostly only the hardcore UC crowd who dislike it, for most of the same reasons that they hate any and all alternate universe series. The ratings weren't stellar during the initial run, but the model kits eventually got a lot of kids into it (the intended goal, since it was the first series produced by a newly Bandai-owned Sunrise), and its appearances in various crossover games really changed the minds of the older crowd who were willing to give it a chance.

I love G Gundam--and I'm a UC fan too, lol! I hope it's brand new... spoiler[because at the end of the anime, there was an announcement of another Gundam fight tournament. 16 years later, we have something! I don't think this was in the manga, and I don't know if it would count...] But if it's a remake, I hope it supports a new story! Laughing

Yeah, me too.

"The Birth of Zangetsu the Midday" and the rest of the Giant Robo chapters.
