I wonder how that "other company" feels about Geneon spoiling their license announcement....

I already know who, anime network. Look what their site says "4 days left". that is when Highschool of the dead starts. The font is also the same time as the logo. Problem solved Smile

Geneon licensing Highschool of the Dead. Yes, I know, but it's still funny.

Strike this title as another one I'd like to see. Those campy 80s movies certainly did something to me to want campy anime series featuring the same.

But I swear, if there's any dancing in it, I'm going to be disappointed.

Please be Funimation. I've been wanting to read the manga for years, but I'll take the anime if it's dubbed. The premise of this shows just screams "King of Harts will LOVE this!".

EDIT: Oh yea...HELL YEAH for Geneon U letting stuff get licensed. I thought those puppies were gonna be under wraps for a while?

Yeah, don't get your hopes up for Funimation, they may be the distributor but not the licensor.

that the license for the Highschool of the Dead television anime series will be announced by another company later in the convention

The article says that someone has licensed it, not that someone will be distributing it for them.

Its either Funimation or Sentai. Hopefully we can get a simulcast too. But if so then I'd prefer Funi because Sentai's video players has some problems.

The Anime Network has a little banner on top of their website which looks rather gory and says "three days left," so are there any industry panels on Sunday?

Really? I've found I have more problems with Funi's than TAN's.

If it's FUNi I can already guess who one of the ADR directors will be. Terri Doty, she loves zombies.

Actually, both of their players have their problems. I don't watch a lot of anime on Funi's player, but I've had plenty of problems with it. As for TAN's player, they have little problems, but seem to fix them very quickly.

Is it possible that Aniplex is the distributor for High School of the Dead license and they will be announcing who they licensed the show to at their panel?

Nope, Aniplex is only releasing stuff they have international rights to.
