We have ourselves the next William Shakesphere of writing and that's Yutaka Yamamoto. Ten years, he'll be a legend in every aspect, I'm calling it.

I'm expecting this with great anxiety.

Azuma + Noitamina + Kōji Yamamoto + Mari Okada= Something Big.

A pretty nice pairing + possibilities there, but I'm not too syked about Okada's involvement, give her erratic job on previous series.

But he wasn't good enough for KyoAni!

I'm looking forward to this. I imagine A-1 will be involved, and I'm currently enjoying their latest work Occult Academy.

That's rather unlikely given that Yutaka Yamamoto is a director, not a screenwriter. Laughing

"Kōji Yamamoto posts photo with Kannagi director, Toradora! writer, scholar Azuma"

I think a photo of would be more accurate if he isn't in it himself.

IMO, she has two main strengths:
- structuring an adaptation (Toradora! being the crown jewel here, given the difficulty of the task)
- writing character drama (her episodes for Red Garden and Diamond Daydreams were particularly good)

As a scriptwriter, she's currently in high demand because of these strengths.

However, I feel that Okada hasn't done a good job when it comes to writing and pacing original series (or original arcs/episodes within adaptations). Plots have been a bit lean in content, and she always tries to accomplish too much in too few episodes (we abruptly go from Point A to Point B without adequate development).
