That's okay, no one in their right mind would actually try to play the cassette.

Ummmm what? How old are you? I'm only 25 and I still have several cassette players from when I was younger ... I still bought / had / played tapes as a kid! Heck, there's a cassette player in my CAR (and it's a 2001).

But I also agree - I doubt people would play it! Although ... maybe once. Wink

I love hipsters. Razz Oh, well, I guess Akihabara will get a lot of tape recorder sales now.

I think I have at least a dozen cassette players scattered around my house, including one on a Bang & Olufsen stereo my parents bought in 1998 plus several different vintage Sony Walkmans (Walkmen?).

I'll probably buy the CD with the cassette and actually listen to the cassette (shocka!).

Of course, I'm a total physical media guy with no interest in buying an iPod, so a new cassette tape release actually does resonate emotionally with me, even if I pretty much only ever listen to music on CD anymore (plus the occasional vinyl record).

What's this new technology called cassette? will it work with my ipod? I kid I kid.. I own several cassette players, including my stereo which I've had since 96, it'd be cool to own a cassette soundtrack again Smile

i doubt many people who buy it will try to play the audio cassette. They probably have the digital copy of those songs on PC already.

I want it on vinyl while they're at it. Hi-fi copy for listening at home, and CD for on the go (yeah, I still lug around a CD player).

You're kidding right? Never thought that would ever come up again. Luckily some of us still remember that little format that often times you have to use a pencil to unravel a twist.

see this is the kind of stuff, bandai needs to give us as a premium edition of K-On, this is great, I will have to import this one, I didn't think cassettes were still made, but I wont complain......

do you think that this will get a new season, would be good to see if they continue the band in college since they all are going to the same place, that is one of the things I liked about itazura na kiss, it started in high school, went through college, and even a little after.

Way to show some old-school (format, anyways) love, Houkago Tea Time! Very Happy

I can see it now...otakus are now frantically digging through their attics and basements and dusting off their ginormous and unwieldy slung-over-one's-shoulder boomboxes to ensure that they can brandish the power of musical moe, analog-style!! As an otaku geezer myself, reading this totally made my day.

Time to dust off the boombox and blast the crowd walking down the street - ah the days when you can share your music with everyone on the sidewalk! Mix tapes here we come! Laughing

I'm 23 and the only cassette player I have is in my car (also a 2001 model). I listened to cassettes as a kid, but got rid of all of them years ago and didn't bother bringing anything that could play them with me when I moved out on my own.

I don't have a VCR either for that matter.
