Fools! They made Iron Man into an ugly CGI character!

Why, in the love of God!? WHY!?!?!

After the promising trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Q7xgxDJh4) when Iron Man is *not* in CGI, why!?

And yeah, that's is some hideous CGI there, Madhouse. What happened to the nice, smooth stuff from Rideback?

Koike's been working on Redline for about 6 years. While he did direct the pilot for Iron Man, I doubt he was ever in serious consideration for directing a TV series so soon after Redline's completion. Rintaro directed the pilot for the Wolverine anime, but that doesn't mean that he's going to direct the TV series too.

The difference in quality is probably due to the fact that this show didn't get enough funding. They would have needed quite a bit of money if they wanted the entire show to look like the trailer. Mecha animation is pretty expensive in the first place.

At least it's not all CGI.

With Iron Man: Armoured Adventures aring in America around the same time, it would just be weird.

I think that helps to clarify things for me, I was seriously wondering how this show got f-ed up with the low-budget CG when the trailer generated so much hype around this project. Surprising to see Madhouse and Marvel fail this bad. I'll probably watch it fansubbed, because after this it's definitely not a buy. Way to lower the bar guys...here's one HUGE IRON MAN fan that is seriously disappointed. Oh well, at least some GOOD mech action with Gundam UC will be coming out soon...
