Uhhh, well there was 2004 which was their 20th anniversary, and I recall 4 anime projects they worked on. |

Hah! When I read the headline I thought Subaru was an animation studio that I had never heard of. A new car show wouldn't be bad though, I've always had it in the back of my mind that I should check out Initial D, but every time I see the trailer on my GTO disks I'm put off by the CG cars.

It doesn't say anywhere that its going to be an actual show, it just says that it is going to be an animation project. It sounds like its going to be a series of commercials of some sort, or some sort of promotional video. |

The suspence is killing me. Really wondering what the shaded out characters look like in the pic.
Also, highly doubt that it will be a racing show. One for the girls in the picture is wearing a cape. |

I'm usually excited about anything Gainax does, but Shouji Saeki is responsible for my least favorite Gainax shows. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised by this project.
I think their record was 3 shows in one year (Abenobashi, Mahoromatic S2 and Yucie). |

I can't wait to see Impreza-chan
That said, they make damn good cars, even though their reputation inside Japan isn't so good for some reason or other. They may be aiming to get some cool points with the audience... you can't help but be cautious with sponsored projects. |

I hope the writing will be as sharp as that one Eureka! episode where a character just incongruously started talking about all the many amazing features of the 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI in what was absolutely not the most clumsy product placement I have ever heard on a television program.
