Infinite Stratos sounds like a lot of other stuff out there already, but I'd like to see what the new Angel Beats! project will be. Will it take place before or after the show, and will it feature the same characters?

Wow. Infinite Stratos. I totally can't guess what the real plot of that series will be from the plot summary. Way to be original!
Okay...is it just me and my fangirlism, or is this special episode taking waaaay too long to come out? Dx DO WANT MOAR ANGEL BEATS!! However, in response to some queries about whether the episode will cover more pasts or whatnot, I'm probably gonna guess no. Judging by the first promo and then this one, it's just gonna be some extra comedy~ Not that I'm not okay with that. It took me a few seconds to process what was going on in that promo...I saw Yui and Sekine chibi-rockin', then...no process desu. And Fujimaki and Yuzuru with...erm, random beer bellies? o_O Maaaybe it'll have a plot, since a majority of the beauty of the show came from its uncanny ability to mix slapstick humor with actual progression... ...Either way, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS! GIMME MOAR SSS!

Yeah... sadly (or perhaps "happily", given the episode's mood) the special will be some randomly inserted lets-have-some-fun episode. A treat for fans of Angel Beats and light-hearted comedy, but nothing particularly substantial, I'd imagine.
This seems to go along with the translation I posted a few weeks back, a translation that member rrw from http://beneaththetangles.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/angel-beats-epilogue-preview-is-now-streaming/ did. The initial episode preview went along the lines of this. NOTE: To me, the Spoiler Tags here really don't seem necessary, as they make very little sense out of the context that has not yet been revealed (and don't even reference the last episode!), but I'll do it as a precaution to not being flamed: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ spoiler[[c165]Let’s go! Although I'm still unsure if this is supposed to be an ALTERNATE epilogue that somewhat ret-cons the original ending or if it actually adds more to the original epilogue. I'd very much prefer the latter... |
