More simulcasts are always a good thing and knowing Anime Network, this will likely be running on VOD sometime shortly after the simulcast ends. I will definitely check this one out, plus it looks like all the episodes will be free with registration, assuming the article is correct.

Whoo! Another simulcast. Late is better than never, and it's FREE! Very Happy

Fingers crossed that they haven't garbled the normal terms, which are episode one open, episode two to free registration, episodes after that to subscribers.

It seems like it really is a change in their strategy, since that is exactly what the press release says.

And this is the first TBS series to simulcast since early 2009, so that makes it even better news.

The press release is correct. The first episode is FREE to Guests, and then starting with the second episode onward, all episodes are FREE to Registered Members.

So then TAN finally caught up with every other streaming anime site out there (including ANN) and are offering this for free? It's about time, I guess I won't keep watching fansubs after all.

Good to see TAN adding a simulcast. But I was planning on dropping this show after watching episode 1. It was very generic and riddle with cliched characters. I guess I'll have to give it another try, if TAN deems it worthy of a simulcast. And, I have a TAN membership, so I'll get smexy 720p streams!!

Last August, Yumizuru blogged that he was in poor health which interfered with his writing.

Trying to figure out why this was added. It's like saying - I know it's rubbish but you can blame my poor health for it. While i'm sure there is a chance it's affected, still don't see why it needs adding.

Oh well... I would have been having to watch it through TAN however it's not available in the UK. Crying or Very sad

The announcement about Yumizuru's health stated that he would not be writing any new IS novels for the foreseeable future due to his health. Which means that any closure on the story as a whole will have to come from an anime only ending, since the novelist is not planning on finishing the work and is ill.

The fact that IS is being simulcast for free is absolutely great news! Sorry it isn't available in the UK! I know the folks at Crunchyroll complain about region limits all the time.

Considering the astounding reviews IS received in the Winter 11 preview, this does not come to me as a surprise.

If I had to guess this is some special case. I doubt they will do all free simulcasts/videos unless they get ads in their videos.

I could have sworn at one point they said the subscriber only thing was in the license contract for the shows they do that for, but I'm not sure.
