Guess it's too much to ask for these to be available for streaming in Canada as well? Would love to check out Nana and Hikaru no Go.

Netflix's Canadian service licenses titles seperately form the US one, though since they have titles from Funi and MB and VIZ has the Canadian rights to these titles, I imagine they'll be available via Netflix eventually. It would be a nice solution for those looking for those titles.

I think the only reason we don't get the streams is due to VIZ primarily using Hulu- which I can't blame em for since it's probably more profitable than Youtube.

Discussion in the financial press on the Hulu business model suggests terms for the big players are 70% of revenue for the rights owner, 30% for Hulu, and the 10% that an affiliate site gets comes from Hulu's slice. Now small players might not get terms quite so rich, but still it would mean Viz would get up to 70% of gross ad revenue for Hulu views, and up to 80% for views at its own site.

There's no way they could do that well hosting the streams themselves.

Given the way that Funimation cycles out YouTube streams faster than Hulu streams, I suspect that the YouTube terms are not quite so rich.

I think the episodes may(?) be dubbed, however, I am not entirely sure. Would be very nice since I've been with Netflix for years and recently been streaming (from Netflix of course) so more dubbed quality anime is always nice to see.

None of the anime I have watched on the canadian netflix have been subbed and I don't get why they only have the first season of d. grey man..... I hope canada get a larger selection at least some of the more mainstream the lesser ones are great but I watch the series in like a weekend.

FINALLY a company works with Netflix to make quality streams of subbed shows, only legitimate suggestion would be to offer the capability to switch audio (like certain Mandarin movies on Netflix). But anime is not popular enough and I've been praying for subbed streaming shows on there ever since I got my subscription. There's tons of other crappy Funi dubs on Netflix anyway.

Bravo Viz, Bravo.

However sour a taste Inuyasha left in my mouth after watching the whole thing dubbed some years back, I couldn't help but enjoy watching a few episodes of the original Japanese version. Also all of Honey & Clover... probably is worth my netflix subscription alone since I've rewatched that show about 3 times now. Can't wait to see more sub-titles Razz
