Nice! Now I have a reason to go.

I've lived in San Jose for 7-8 years now, but I've never managed to actually get to Fanime. Things in life seem to always pop up on that weekend, with dependable frequency.

Industry panels were my favorite thing to see when I went to cons, and though I haven't gone to any cons in a number of years, the fact that industry professional panels have been marginalized in favor of masquerades and AMV contests doesn't really make me feel like it'd be worth the expense to go to a con again. Even if there were some good guests at a con, they announce them so late that if I were to choose to attend a non-local con based on the guest list, finding a hotel would be a nightmare by that point.

But this is local, and the only thing I have to worry about is finding parking, so hopefully I'll get a chance to come out and see Seiji Mizushima.

I gotta wonder what his thoughts are on FMA Brotherhood, now.... I would think it kinda sucks to have a reboot of a series that you already did an adaptation of six or so years before.

He was asked about it when he went to an Anime Expo.

I don't think he had that much of an issue with it; he said he knew the guy who directed Brotherhood.

More like lucky San Jose-ians (that doesn't make sense xD). I live in CA but San Jose is all the way on the other side of CA from me so I can't go ): Damn.

Why does it say "[...]voice actor and singer Yūya Matsushita"? He's only a singer. I think you're mixing him up for Yuya Miyushita, who has voice acted and is a singer.

The only reason he would care is if he had some massive ego that would let thing like a reboot bother him. Mizushima finished Fullmetal Alchemist, why would he care what Square Enix did with the franchise they own?
