Huh? Did I miss something? When did they strike "Beck" from the title?

Couple months ago. I don't think they made a big public show of it, since everything at retail was printed ages ago and still says "Beck."

I just shrugged. The only possible reason I could think of to change it at this late date is some legal somethingorother, so far be it from me to poke my head in.

Bingo.

I've never heard of him before, but there's apparently some singer over here in America who calls himself Beck, so--allegedly--they wanted to dodge any chance of possible legal problems. Over 4 years later, I'd say it's pretty pointless, but hell--whatever floats their boats.

I'm familiar with Beck the singer and I guessed that's what might have happened, but I couldn't imagine why they wanted to change it now.

Seeing as Revelation Films bailed on releasing the final few episodes of Beck on DVD leaving us with a gapping hole in my collection and never able to see the ending legally, unless Manga UK do a licence rescue of the last DVD volume, which I doubt will be anytime soon if ever, I would have liked this to have had UK access too.

That's too bad, cause the Grateful Sound concert and its conclusion is one of the best things about the Beck anime. It's too bad they never animated the second half of the manga though. I liked that a lot more...
