Never been a big fan of Melissa, to be honest.. I would replace it with Shunkan Sentimental. That and Uso are my favorite ending themes.

Again and Ready Steady Go are my favorite openings.

Dang I remember watching that first season for FMA (after a long hiatus from anime in general) and really loving that OP song by Porno Graffiti. It would get my votes too but can't hardly fault anyone for liking others - there were a lot of good ones for FMA

How is "Rewrite" not on there? It's certainly better than the dull, droning "Ready Steady Go", one of the worst L'Arc songs I've ever heard.

Huh, "Ready Steady Go" didn't top list? That's pretty surprising. Personally, that and "Rewrite" were my favorite openings. But hey, it's hard to exactly dispute other's opinions among such great songs and accompanying animations xD

Kimi no te deeeeeeeee~~~ Kirisaiteeee~~~~~

"Melissa" is one of the songs I always sing when I go to karaoke. (Though partly because it's one of the few songs I can sing decently, LoL.)

For once in my life, I find myself agreeing with penguintruth's comments...Ready Steady Go kinda sucks. Well, maybe I just got sick of it since Adult Swim replaced two other openings with it, one of them my favorite. Really, I liked the ones AS didn't show the most. Although, it took forever for Rewrite to grow on me and now I love it.

How I'd rank them:

1. "Undo" by Cool Joke
2. "Melissa" by Porno Grafitti.
3. "Tobira no Mukou E" by Yellow Generation.
4. "Shunkan Sentimental" by SCANDAL. (I wish it was an opening.)
5. "Rain" by SID. (Wish this was an ending.)
(Huh?! Extra rankings time?!)
6. "Kesenai Tsumi" by Nana Kitade.
7. "Motherland" by Crystal Kay.

At the list of FMA openings and closings, "Again" is at the very bottom. Not really liking Brotherhood's themes that much in general. They're all pretty plain.

Really? Only the 1st OP and ED of FMA:B made the Top 5? I thought the 4th were more deserving. And the 5th OP isn't bad either.

Huh? It has to be something about the songs being the first openings that got them on top. As much as I like some of the songs, there are far better ones.

My favorite is Shunkan Sentimental(BH ed 4) and the 5th OP of FMA brotherhood Rain. There's something about the song that fits the dire mood and the dreadfulness of what's to come. That opening and the song is etched onto me.

Personally I didn't like any of Brotherhoods OPs/EDs. Way too generic and none had a tune that I'd hum afterwards. Nice to see the right song at the top, though.

Personally, I love "Lost Heaven" from the end of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa. To me, it's just the perfect final song for the grand story told in the first FMA series.

Actually considering the reception of FMA: Brotherhood in Japan I was shocked that any song from Brotherhood made the top 5.

I will never understand Japan's obsession with Melissa, as it's really not a standout song. Rewrite is the best song from the first series, but the 4th opening, 4th ending from Brotherhood are probably the two best songs.

My favourite continues to be Tobira no Mukou he, if not for the song--which I still really enjoy--then for the imagery that accompanies it whenever it appears in the series, chiefly that bit in the credits with Ed and Al in the feint snow fall. Whenever I see that, I continue to feel that Fullmetal Alchemist (the first series) is the best RPG that isn't an RPG that I never played...because it isn't an RPG...or something.
