Considering how good the special that aired last year was, I'm looking forward to this. It's a nice change of pace for Kaito Kid compared to how he acts in the Detective Conan tv series/OVAs/movies.

Actually, there will "only" be 2 Kaito Kid specials, the episodes which will air on the 20th and the 27th of August are adapted from the Detective Conan manga and included in the episode count (unlike the other two).

I've always hated Kaito Kid. Among other things, he's always struck me as a mere second-rate rip-off of Lupin III.

I love Kaito Kid, his relationship with Conan is always so interesting. I love their rivalry and battle of wits, and how they actually help each other out from time to time (especially in the movies; movie 14 especially was awesome) Plus he's so smooth and glompable, I see why Sonoko likes him Though it's for the best Conan nor Sonoko know of the time he groped Ran's ass... Conan would totally kill him.
I'm not surprised Conan is taking a little of a break. They're coming up on the manga and need time to stretch it out. The manga introduced a new character recently that I can't wait to see in the anime, though. |

OMG yes!!!!!! I was wondering if they would ever make more Magic Kaito episodes after that one they made last April. I love Kaito Kid (and the fact that Kappei Yamaguchi does his voice <3).

well there's my Ryōma case been waiting for that one. So is Ōjo-sama wa Magic ga Osuki" (Her Highness Loves Magic) the on with the princess and the trigger happy cop from Europe or the one with Akako? And is this why my fav DC wiki crashed on be earlier today?

(I didn't break Detective Conan World, I swear! xD;; ) The "Ōjo-sama" isn't quite clear, but I think if the title was referring to Akako it'd probably mention her being a witch and/or be more related to "The Scarlet Temptress" (or however you want to translate the title of the chapter she debuts in). My guess is the princess and the trigger happy cop. Regardless, fun times ahead. Can't wait 'til August and to discuss the specials on podcast. ♥ |

And more awesome Conan-ish footage that will likely never make it Stateside.
I'm glad that this is going to be made though. It was a cool idea back then, and being able to flesh out an important character more is something I'd enjoy. Not like I'd ever be able to see it though. It is funny that he's stealing Conan's timeslot... they should make a promo of that idea. |

The last special I saw was the London Side-Story with Ai and Ayumi. All the loli fanservice did kind of catch me off guard though (Conan's never really lacked fanservice, but all the lolicon stuff made me do a double blink)
Then again, Haibara does seem like she'd have a huge following given her dark and troubled past. She needs a hug. |
