Can I get a dub for this when it comes out on DVD please? Or at least change the subtitles.

Every time I hear Nezumi and see the word "rat", it bothers me. Other people have had this name in the past, and their names weren't literally translated.

If they do a dub and name him Rat there, I'd be fine with that, but nothing bothers me more with subtitles than hearing the few words I understand, and then seeing an odd subtitle for it. So distracting.

Other than that, though, TOTALLY EXCITED!!! This show has been so much fun to watch, so far!

Wow Sentai. I am extremely impressed on how you are picking up so many good shows. Please don't stop!

I really like this series, so far, so there is a high chance that I will buy it when it releases.

I was kinda expecting FUNimation to get this since it's a Noitamina title, but just it being licensed is good enough. In fact, Sentai should cast Jay Hickman as Nezumi and Aaron Dismuke as Sion! That combo would be awesome! Very Happy

huh, that was fast. Show's not even 5 episodes, in I dont think.

Well, Im glad it was licensed. Hope to get a good dub. I've heard some weak dubs from Sentai, but there Angel Beats one was really good, so I hope they do a good job on this one too

Something similar happened with Princess Tutu. The main character's name is Ahiru, which means duck in Japanese. Shoko Oonoo (ADV's translator) said she changed the name to "Duck" because Ahiru wouldn't have the same impact on most English viewers. Ahiru would sound too much like a name and not the animal - duck.

My guess is Crunchyroll's translator made the same decision. While you and I automatically hear "Rat" when people say Nezumi, most Crunchyroll viewers would not and lose out on the strangeness of the name.

A lot of translation is subjective and based on the translator's artistic preferences. It's interesting to see the differences isn't it?

I'm so happy that Sentai is releasing the show.

Yes! I am glad someone licensed No. 6! I am loving the show so far; it's the type of science fiction I enjoy, and it reminds me of Kurau Phantom Memory a lot, which is another Bones show — that also happens to be one of my favorite anime series.

Yeah, I understand how this introduces cognitive dissonance, but I don't mind it. I actually like that they translated Nezumi as "rat." I don't think Nezumi is actually used as a name in Japan, so not only is it strange, but it's also the word for rat. Like here-and-faraway explained, if his name was "Nezumi" in the subtitles, then that connection, that meaning, would not be conveyed to us viewers like it is to the Japanese viewers.

This is nice but do these guys do blu-rays? It's important.

I went to their website and looked. Maybe they did but not for the ones I was looking at.

There's no "maybe" to it. They've done BDs for Needless, Xam'd, Canaan, Angel Beats, Night Raid 1931, Highschool of the Dead, Samurai Girls, and Tears to Tiara just to name a few.

They've done Blurays for most of their dubbed titles, Golgo 13, Blue Drop, and Guin Saga are the only exceptions. The grain would probably make Golgo look terrible on bluray, and they had to cancel their Guin bluray as it had not been released on bluray in Japan yet. However, they plan on doing one once it drops in Japan.

Anyway, this one looks pretty interesting and I will definitely checking it out. I wonder if this be another delay cast on Anime Network, since they said more digital distribution is coming soon. Another nice pick up for Sentai this season.
