I wish sentai would license more TV anime with english dubs. Or better yet, give an english dub to a series they've already licensed.

I liked ICE for the same reason I liked MD Geist and other shows like that. At least that one song isn't bad, and Hitomi is more of a female Harlock than Emeraldas. I can see this as being cheap, despite AKB48 involvement, but I can't see them dubbing it. Or maybe they can, because they expect the sex and gore to sell it?
It's also likely due to ADV's love for OVAs, regardless of quality. Can't fault them on that, since I'm the same way. |

Well, since the original Japanese audio has some of the most ear-goungingly wooden performance to grace anime (note to producers: pop idols do not automatically know how to act), they rightly assumed they couldn't sell the thing without a better English alternative. This will still not save it from the rest of this series' problems, like, I dunno, the unlikable/uninteresting characters, or the incomprehensible ending, or just the plot. |

I feel the same way about most OVAs, but this...this is not one of those. Certainly, things like MD Geist have a certain charm. This does not have anything like that - it's an ugly, poorly crafted mess that goes out of its way to remind you of how IMPORTANT it is and how STUPID you are if you don't GET IT. I really should shut up at this point since I'm sure the reverse psychology is gonna kick in for people, but...man. Ice! Licensed! Dubbed! What a world! |

I'm also in agreement that this was not the greatest choice. Blue Drop must have sold well enough so they decided to get more bad yuri shows.
