So is this an anime shorts (adaptation, anthology, or anime recap) for Uncharted. This sort of make sense, Uncharted 2 did very well in Japan and I wouldn't be surprise Uncharted 3 be the most anticipated game in Japan (and US). If this is live-action, how on earth would a Japanese actor play Nathan Drake (since he's not Asian), that wouldn't make any sense wouldn't it. I can't wait to see what this game-based Uncharted TV drama short is. Surprised

This is a year where a new Zelda, 2 Final Fantasies, a new Mario, a new Monster Hunter, a new Inazuma Eleven, and a new Mario Kart are all coming out in Japan.

Call of Duty: MW3 will sell more than Uncharted 3 does in Japan based on the sales of previous games.

Yeah that and Battlefield 3 has been getting a lot of attention in Japan specfically TGS. So it looks like MW3 vs BF3 has been going beyond US and Europe. Also I like to note Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita has attracted a lot of Japanese gamers at TGS also. So it looks like western games has been changing in Japan for last few years.

2 Final Fantasies??? I only recalled Final Fantasy 13-2 is coming out. Versus 13 and Type-0 looks like it's not coming out yet.

I miss the part where the article said it would specifically be an ANIMATED short film. And if yall think it is, then aren't you s'posed to be guessing who will produce it.. It's probably just something only intended to titillate Japanese PS3 owners, right?

I don't actually own a PS3, or any PlayStation system right now...

As a casual gamer who got into game the last month or so - I bought the Sony PlayStation 3 mainly for the Blu-ray Disc player - I got and beat Uncharted 2: Among Thieves last week (Normal level of difficulty), so I am looking forward to the upcoming release of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.

Regarding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as I posted in a relevant game thread at the Anime**** forums, the Japanese dub cast was recently announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2011:

Quote:

Three of the voice actors listed in the Japanese dub of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are women: Rie Tanaka, Yuuko Kaida, and Kana Ueda.

This likely means there is more one female character in MW3.

So Modern Warfare 3 is getting a Japanese dub after all. Whoa, Rie Tanaka (Simca in Air Gear, Minna in Strike Witches, and Lacus in Gundam SEED) to voice a character in Modern Warfare 3, this is going to be interesting, what's next Aya Hirano to voice Elizabeth in the Japanese version of Bioshock Infinite (actually having her voice Elizabeth could make the game sell in Japan really well). Very Happy

Back on topic: Kotaku just reveal the Uncharted TV Drama. It's nothing but "cutscenes from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves edited together into sixteen episodes. Besides the edited cutscenes, the show will feature actors (above) playing a young couple. The boyfriend loves Uncharted, but his girlfriend doesn't play video games at all. The show is supposed to show how couples can enjoy Uncharted—which seems to be one person playing, and the other person watching." I thought it would be a anime short or something adaptation of Uncharted. Now I feel sad. Crying or Very sad

That makes sense, I guess. Some people don't like playing video games, but might enjoy watching Uncharted.

Ok, ummm...in this case, WHY UNCHARTED?!

The game has okay gameplay if you're playing the game. But outside of that, it's a pretty unremarkable game overall. Like a watered down Hollywood action movie.

If I wanted to watch someone play a game, it'll have to be something along the lines of Alice Madness Returns, Shadow of the Colossus or any Vanillaware game.

Or since it's boyfriend and girlfriend...Catherine.

The comments section is comedy gold. It has taught me that America is the ONLY western nation in existence. Laughing
