Is anyone honestly surprised by this? I've held off seeing this in Japanese, patiently waiting for the dub. I already know that the show is going to be awful, schlock not worthy of sharing a name with its predecessor, but the enhanced hype produced by all the delays that this series has incurred will make the "revelation of suck" that much worse. I'll end this mini-screed (oxymoron, perhaps?) with saying that my pre-order still stands. If only I could be an anime hypocrite; they have it much easier.
 
On a different note, will Funimation give us a cool bonus with the limited edition as a result of (penance for?  ) the delay? Currently the only bonus slated is a chipboard artbox (correct me if I'm wrong here, please). Almost every other recent Funi limited release I can think of had additional bonus features such as art books, fake currency, etc. I'd love something extra, and I'm willing to pay for it.

My brother is gonna get mad when he sees this. Any who November is a bad time to put anything out, the video game industry has labeled November as sell sell sell. Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.To name some of the big ones, i believe there's more. That's really gonna hurt sales on this one coming right out the gate. Well knowing Funi they'll release a SUPER_SAVE now 3 colours edition in a couple of months so i think it'll be fine. well rant over.

I must have missed Funi's announcement that they were even releasing this. I enjoyed the first season, so I'll be picking this title up.

the first season was great dont get me wrong, but this season really sucked. it took everything good from the first season and did a 180. |

I may be wrong about this, but I remember hearing that this show did so poorly in Japan that it was yanked off the air early which is why it's only 12 episodes plus some OVAs. I have season one (and we are currently watching season one at our anime club) and am something of a completist but I am really thinking hard as to whether I want season 2. If I do it will be the standard edition as I have the "Classic" version of season one.

You mean like the first season available in HD? Yeah, me too. Could be worse, they might pull a Spice Wolf and give you a box to hold both seasons... and size it for a particular DVD release without spacers for those buying the BDs that same day. |
