Cool, now I have an excuse to make time for season 2 of Junjou Romantica Very Happy (don't ask me how my logic works;;; )

Seems like a lot of their stuff has been getting anime adaptations lately. Yay for them! c:

Technically, Junjo Romantica already has a season 2 (it was 13 episodes long). I wish there was a Season 3 since the manga is incomplete in the States (thanks alot Tokyopop!) Rolling Eyes

Personally, I wish one of Hinako Takanaga's manga would be adapted instead. I didn't really like Junjo Mistake.

Oh, cool... Never thought this'd get adapted. They must be getting desperate for content, they've almost run out of Nakamura works to adapt!

As nice as this news is, ... why so much Nakamura?

I understand that there are enough volumes of manga to make a decent anime series, but Nakamura isn't the only long running yaoi mangaka who does this.

Why not Takanaga? Challengers and The Tyrant Falls in Love combined would probably be more than enough material for a two-cour show, IMO.

... and why, oh why, has no one ever done an anime adaptation of Little Butterfly? Such a beautiful story...

I agree with TuxedoCat-- I'm always glad to see BL being adapted, but it'd be nice to have a little more variety. There are plenty of other artists doing series that could be adapted!

The Tyrant Falls in Love already has a two-part OVA out. So do plenty of other BL series.

Personally, I'm really excited for this. I love Nakamura's works and I have a soft spot for Isaka and Asahina.

You seem to be inferring here that because there are OVAs out, there is no need for TV series?

...Also, there is no legal way for me to see these OVAs, since they are not licensed. --I guess you're suggesting i just rip a torrent?

wow. Way to support the industry... Rolling Eyes

I think you're reading way too much into what Razel said. S/he may be simply suggesting that a TV series was unlikely since there was already a couple OVAs out. OVAs which feel kind of rushed imo, but hey, what can you do given the time limitations? Same goes for all the other BL OVAs-- not enough time to pace the story well hence, I suspect, why so many of us would like to see more TV series adaptations instead.

Hmmm, my personal wish list... I'm trying to think of BL series of >5 volumes that don't already have OVAs.

Shout Out Loud! might be kinda interesting, as it involves a group of anime/BL drama CD voice actors. Love Mode would be ripe for a two-cour with that extended cast of characters coming in and out of the Blue Boy club, and the same mangaka's Ze has a similar appeal. And while technically not considered BL (how, I don't know), Vassalord could make an interesting (er, what genre would that be? supernatural? action?) series. Oh, and last but not least Hyouta Fujiyama's interconnected manga series Ordinary Crush (2 vol), Sunflower (2 vol), and... Spell, was it(?) would make for a nice little multi-couple show.

But yeah, meanwhile I'll be watching Junjou Mistake just the same.

Well, the tone of the post sort of felt like I was being a dumbass or complaining or something, when I was just wishing and typing.

I certainly would buy Junjou Mistake. No Prob.

As poonk said, you were definitely reading too much into what I said. I was simply pointing out that there was already an OVA out for the series, which is probably why it won't get a full TV production.

I would LOVE to see an anime of Shout Out Loud!, or of any of Shimizu's works. And both are certainly long enough to get at least thirteen episodes out of them.
