What the **** is with Hollywood and drastically rewriting ****? I see rewrites as expenditures that don't make sense in the long run of the entire project. I understand you can't include EVERYTHING in movies, but to fundamentally change aspects of the story to suit some petty quirk like having a star add his/her power to it is stupid.

I'm looking at you Angelina Jolie. Fox was supposed to be black, not some ugly white ***** in Wanted only added in because the scriptwriter has unattainable waifu fantasies.

I didn't understand why they couldn't have just kept the main character Japanese.

But then I remember that interview with the director and I realize oh yeah. Only white people can be American.

This already has fail written all over it. I avoid all movies in which T. Cruise is in and the premice of this one sounded good. Now I won't be able to see it. Sad

What really bugs me is not just the race of the character being changed, but the title change. What's the point of buying it, if you're not gonna use the catchy name?
