Awesome.

What this means is:

1) Leiji must have figured out where to take Mahoroba, and considering how awesome the first 2 volumes were, this is great news.

2) 2013 might be an epic year for Leiji fans. Mahoroba film + CG Harlock film (pretty much confirmed for 2013) + hopefully Zero Desigze anime!!!!!

This looks interesting. I like pretty much anything associated with the words "battleship" or "dreadnought". As someone hinted previously, 2013 should be a good year for Matsumoto fans. I'm especially looking forward the the CG Captain Harlock.

This is looking to be the 2nd anime to feature the Leijiverse ship Mahoroba as it had its first anime appearance in the OVA miniseries "Great Yamato No. 0".

I look forward to seeing the mecha and character design work in future updates. Speaking of Leiji Matsumoto anime, it's strange that not even a single news update about "Zero Desigze" was posted in months. I wanna' get to know who the characters are, what the many ships would look like, and the premise will be.

If any of these anime get licensed for distribution in North America, I'll be glad to spend my DVD money to buy the both. We need more of such sci-fi epicness for anime entertainment, and I'm sure that North America-based anime fans who grew up with "Star Blazers", "Captain Harlock", and/or "Galaxy Express 999" will want a chance to see more of this master mangaka's work getting imported in the North America, especially after Diskotek managed to bring the 1979 "Galaxy Express 999" film and its sequel on Region 1 DVD.

On Zero Desigze, I'm doing my best to get some intel but so far have been unsuccessful.

On Mahoroba, here:

I remember when Viz was running the second 999 manga in Animerica, when they were stopped on Heavy Melder, the manga mentioned the "Super Dimensional Fortress" Mahoroba and I wondered ever what it was since I had never heard of it before then or since. This'll be interesting to watch.
