I liked this series very much. That being said, I don't know if I liked it enough to pay NISA prices. This one I may wait until it's non-premium priced.

I'm a little ambivalent about buying this, as I really liked the concept and setting but Zakuro herself irritated me. But if there's one thing to look forward to, this is going to have gorgeous box art.

I think NISA is building it's own dub studio on the corner of Long Wait and Don't Hold Your Breath.

No blu-ray, eh? I love NISA...but I don't know if I'll shell out the money for a DVD-only release. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the series, but did I enjoy it that much?

Tough decision.

It's a DVD-only release in Japan, too.

Just because Funimation has put out BDs for shows that don't have them in Japan doesn't mean we should be expecting it from every company.

Speaking of FUNimation... wasn't this one of the titles on their recent poll?

Awwwriiiiiigggggggghhhhht!!! I haven't been blown away by the last few NISA licensing announcements, but this one makes my nipples hard. Feast on that image, boys. I really liked the show a lot and can't wait to see the NISA preem treatment for it.

I just view you as looking like Onsokomaru anyways, so it's more of a comical image to me than a frightening one Smile

I haven't watched any of this one either, so hopefully it'll be a good pickup when it comes out.

A nice series indeed, quite a rare licence material too. Though, there's something that bugs me, the series is 13 episodes long, plus some possible extras, and dual audio... how the heck do they intend to put all that in just two DVDs? Even if these are DVD 9, it's just too much...

Guess we'll get trashy encodes so all fits into these two DVDs. It should be a standard to have 3 episodes/DVD, I know it's a friggin pain in the ass switching them while doing a marathon, but that doesn't justify having bad quality video...

Well, time will tell if I'm wrong or not, but I bet I'll be on the right side, unfortunately.

The various seasons of Slayers were released with an average of 6 1/2 episodes per disk, I believe. Have you seen any of them, and was their image quality unacceptable?

Umm...didn't the standard use to be 4 eps on a single layer disc? So is 7 on a dual layer a problem? That's kind of been the standard lately, and looks good to me. There's always the chance for a poor encode, but so far NIS has been putting out some pretty good-looking releases. Obviously blu-ray is preferable, but as already mentioned, this one was DVD-only in Japan.

Just to be a little more on-topic, I'm pretty pleased they licensed this title. It was one of my favorites the season it came out. I felt like it fell apart a little toward the end, but I might just buy it anyway.

What does that means?

Didn't they use PCB Productions for their games?
