+1

Although I did not enjoy the anime as much as I hoped, it was still a great series so a season 2 is a must for me.

This.

Loved both the Anime and the manga. Maybe the Anime didn't sell as well as the manga?

Good news. I still thoroughly enjoy buying and reading this series.

Shojo anime don't sell in Japan unless it's called Cardcaptor Sakura, Nodame Cantabile and Kimi ni Todoke (well, it must've sold enough to get that second season, since shojo titles usually DON'T get second seasons).

(Yes, I'm overly generalizing - there has to be at least one or two other examples - but I digress.)

You forgot to list Madoka and Sailor Moon.

Congrats Yoshiki Nakamura!! \Anime exclamation/
So maybe it's possible for Skip Beat to receive a second season?

@Rukiia I thought Madoka was a Seinen anime (intended for older males)?

Anyone watch the Taiwanese Live Action version? They are following the Anime/Manga very closely.... I was always hoping for a 2nd season, maybe this will help the decision.
