This explains the recent explosion of Spanish language comments on their episodes.

I knew they were adding Spanish subtitles, so I guess this is just the logical next step.

i guess they can't be bothered to fix the problem with full screen anime's subs cutting off the bottom of 4:3 fullscreen tv's. no money to be made fixing it so instead they work on spanish subs for their animes. i wonder how many mexicans are going to be pissed off when they have the same exact problem trying to watch something like Slam Dunk?

What is this with reference to ~ displayed with what device or connection to the TV?

A 16:9 source is being displayed appropriately on a 4:3 TV, there should be no problem with subtitles cutting off, since the appropriate display should be letter boxed top and bottom. If there is any overscan, it should only clip off a little bit at the right and left.

This guy has been complaining and complaining how its CR fault for this. I have a ROKU and watch my anime on my 4:3 TV once in a while and I have never had any issues at all. He insists its not his TV at all and not his fault. All he does is complain. The Staff is more then happy to help as I've dealt with them on issues I've had before and they are very friendly and helpful. So just ignore this guy.
