Wow, Zettai Karen Children is already out? I wish they hadn't changed the name so much, people might not ever realize it's the same show.
I have only seen one scene of this show randomly on Japanese tv. In it, a werewolf girl fights a narwhal to the death and kicks off its horn. That one scene is enough to sell it for me.
(the girl realizes it is a mother narwhal trying to protect her baby so she lets it go)

I heard the licensor requested it be changed, though I'm pretty sure nobody had any intention of releasing anything called "Absolutely Lovely Children" over here anyway("Why don't you have a seat right over there?").

I have the DVD release and it's actually subtitled Zettai Karen Children. It's not like anime doesn't get sold under different names in the U.S. all the time anyways. Anyone who's looking for it will know what it is.

The reason it was changed to "Psychic Squad" was, in fact, a direction given by the Japanese licensing company, not Sentai Filmworks. Although rumors flew around that the translated title of Zettai Karen Children (Absolutely Lovely Children) sounded like a porn title and therefore got changed, this is untrue.


I can understand being reluctant to release something called Absolutely Lovely Children in the United States, but Psychic Squad is an almost painfully generic title.
