Bitter sweet actually imo i knew something like it was going to happen. However I am used or numb to those type of endings now "imagine clannad with out the happy ending" that's how the visual novel plays out if you don't do everyone else route first.. Yes it was sad however what happened is what happens.

I don't know. Maybe you can find out in a thread that's about volume 3.

I think it's funny that the winner of the Kentucky Derby this year was "I'll Have Another".. such an appropriate name for Cinco de Mayo.

Anyway, thank you Erin for sharing some of your insight on Legendary Heroes and I quite agree with your opinion on Magica. I'm in the camp that's seen it all and I can't wait to see your opinion on the show after the third and final volume.

The reason why I mentioned this is because when someone says in review that volume 2 is dark somebody comments that they should see the ending. It would most likely happen here so you know...

@Cecilthedarkknight_234
Except for those that are watching the episodes in chunks according to the release of the volumes rather than streaming, the people who haven't seen the show at all, people who don't marathon shows because they don't have all the time in the world, etc. Please, be courteous.

Yes they can, because this is a review of volume 2. Keep the discussion to stuff about volume 2. If you can't, then don't say anything. Shouldn't be a hard concept to follow.

I have no idea why Erin and Key (And I think Zac in one of his reviews) dislike the character designs for Madoka.

I like Ume Aoki's designs quite a bit.

I agree with most of what Erin said about Fairy Tail. I thought the first 30-40 episodes were ok. A bit derivative but it had some entertaining moments. However, I think for what is an ensemble cast it relies too much on Natsu to beat the big bad all the time. It also seems that everybody in the show has a tragic past, and it becomes too much and too formulaic. The show also kills its most dramatic moments when people die, by not letting them stay dead. This just felt like a lack of balls on the creator's part. Yea, I know its shounen but still. Somewhere around episode 50, the Nirvana arc, the show gets significantly weaker imho. So, I don't think Erin is going to enjoy where it goes from here.

I was also turned off by Legend of the blah, blah, blah, for some of the same reasons as Erin listed.

Glad to see she is enjoying Madoka and hopefully with the third installment she will be able to give a little more in depth review as I'm curious to her overall opinion.

Huh, Erin is now the second person I've seen to recommend the dub over the sub of LOL Heroes, now I actually want to re-watch it and see how it goes.

Personal opinions? Honestly I didn't like them much either, the faces were too wide and I just didn't like the more pencil-y look they had, but that's just an opinion (if EVERYONE loved something I'd be more worried honestly).

If you think the faces of the Madoka girls are too wide, I hope you never watch Hidamari Sketch.

The "pencil" look is actually one of my favorite things about the character design in Madoka, actually.

Hmmm... I don't mind the pencil look or the wide-set eyes (although I do occasionally think "fetal alcohol syndrome"). I just don't think the costumes are cute enough for my tastes... but this isn't CLAMP on purpose.

I don't like how Kyubey has ears growing out of his ears, but you're not supposed to like Kyubey.

I hope Madoka Magica has a sad ending! It's building to that. A happy ending would seem inappropriate based on the tone so far.

I noticed typos and grammatical errors in this column. Where's the editor? Is he doodling or just tweeting nonsense?
