So Anime Network has chosen a company owned by cable TV companies to deliver all its content -- does that mean that they will no longer be offering satellite VOD and on-line streaming?

You mean they're using those shady PPV channels that air a combination of porn and wrestling to air new anime?

And they want me to pay outrageous amounts for it as all PPV events are?

Hahaha no.

All that's being said is that InDemand is handling the gruntwork of getting the video to the customer for them. A change in content distributer doesn't imply a change in business model.

No, this company also handles VOD transmission for channels like HGTV, Food Network, and others. They are just switching transmitters from one company to another. The providers that carry Anime Network won't change as a result. TAN holds it's own negotiations with providers.
