if a shoujo manga which has just mindless fluff and fanservice, its treated as 'plotless', 'not good', 'its going nowhere', 'its just fluff nothing more' and doesn't get anime.
 Not that I mind my mindless shoujo fluff. But overdone and I won't like it.
but stuff like this gets animated. I guess guys more like 'mindless fluff' more than boys. At least, from what I could read in the first few chapters of the manga, that's what it seemed like.

You probably haven't seen much of yaoi and BL then. I've got this copy of an otome anime adaptation called Gakuen Heaven. It's not yaoi but it's all about this guy who gets enrolled in a school called BL High School which is an elite all-boys school full of strapping young men. I've watched the whole thing and I can't even remember what plot it had. It was nothing but strapping young men doing strapping young men things. Why do people hate? Is it that hard not to watch something you don't like and move on?
I used to dislike fan-service too, but I didn't participate much in threads moaning about it. It's just silly to me to waste your own time talking about what you don't like and how you can't understand other people. |
