An actual guest worth caring about, color me shocked.
I'd ask her to sign my Katja poster but I wonder if I'll get arrested for child porn charges or something given recent events about lolicon material in the States. |

If I had a Katja poster, and was going to be at Otakon, I'd totally get her to sign it. ...also, is it me or is this thread suddenly a lot shorter? |

That's pretty cool and she's coming over as a musical guest. If Otakon brought her over a few years ago, I'd be even more excited. Still, good stuff though.
If I can go this year, and, assuming I can get on the autograph line, I should bring one of the two photobooks, or maybe both, to get signed. |

I didn't get her autograph (because it was a real clusterf*ck) but I did see her in concert when she was at AX in 2007. Hopefully Otakon runs things more smoothly than AX did, or more accurately than the Long Beach CC did. Wasn't really a full concert in the normal sense, it was more a Haruhi event (since the voices of Yuki and Mikuru were there as well). Anyways, good for Otakon, if I hadn't already gone to Anime Boston and shortly Anime Expo, I'd have been tempted to go.

Oh so jealous. Now who wants to fly me up to Otakon to stay with them?!
But alas, It's nice to see conventions on the East Coast getting a greater amount of guests from Japan. Even some of the smaller conventions over here seem to be bringing in the talent from overseas. Makes me wonder if any of the Sci-fi/Comic conventions which marginalize anime (though they want anime's money) will ever decide to dabble in guests from Japan. |

Her best years may be behind her already, but she's still a pretty solid lead guest for a con.
